Personal Water Filter for Emergency Preparedness
These straws are an important part of our “Go Bags.”
Our Airstream is our primary Go-Bag. But for dire circumstances which I find very easy to imagine these days, we may encounter a circumstance when we must escape on foot. In that case we will grab our Go-Bags (our trusty old Rick Steves backpacks which we’ve had for decades) and Pico and make a run for it.
The Go-Bags will have a few items we need to survive for a short period of time.
These filtering straws will provide good clean drinkable water from any available natural sources. Also, in widespread disasters, the water is often tainted with particulates and substances which are not safe to drink. These straws will give us confidence to drink from a source that may not be potable.
We will continue to post the items we add to our Go-Bags, as we research and accumulate what we feel is the best emergency equipment for our needs.
