DO NOT GO HIKING WITHOUT ONE OF THESE IF THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY OF ENCOUNTERING A BEAR.
We originally bought two of these right when we started traveling in the summer of 2016. They make us feel a bit safer when we’re hiking in bear country.
When those expired and we immediately bought new ones.
We used the expired ones to ‘practice’ using the spray when we were out in a large open field away from anything or anyone. It was good practice.
We keep them right near the door so we can grab them for quick trips outside with Pico and when walking to the showers in bear country.
