Down Blanket – Indoor/Outdoor
We’ve had our stadium blankets for over 10 years! We are including them in Our Gear because they are essential.
We bought our down stadium blankets at CostCo for a much lower price, but apparently, it was one of those one-time special deals and they have not reappeared since – not even online. Our research shows this blanket is most similar to ours but with some other nice features which we like, such as fasteners. If, for any reason, we needed to replace our wonderful old blankets, this is the most similar product in size, weight, components (real down) and packing case.
These blankets are a part of our daily life. We use them in Beauty. We use them outside. We stuff them in Pico’s carrier and take them to outdoor dining areas. In a cold climate they are like a second skin.
We have two and we use them like throws on our easy-chairs. They are soil and water resistant, yet silky and softer than any blanket we’ve ever had.
We launder them on the gentle cycle in our portable washer and spinner. Once spun out, we hang them in the sun and they dry within the hour.
On cold nights we pile them on the bed for extra warmth. They are very fluffy. Pico jumps onto the bed and disappears into the down. He also insists our laps be blanketed in down if he is to grace us with his presence.
Light weight (ours weigh less than a pound) and compact enough for our “Go Bags.” These are part of our emergency-exit equipment if we are ever faced with an evacuation. Again, these blankets are essential gear. So glad we have them. Hope we never have to replace them.
If you purchase these down blankets or something similar, please give us a review.
