It took us nearly five years to discover melaboo (melamine/bamboo) flatware. These bowls by Q-Squared have the appearance of wheel-thrown matte-glaze earthenware but is half the weight and will not chip or break.
Run your hand over the surface and the texture feels like single-fired unglazed stoneware. Each piece has unique characteristics, having slightly different pinholes and the sort of imperfections one would expect in turned pottery. The subtle tones in biscuit and brushed caramel raw glaze trim are a perfect match for our new classic interior Airstream colors. The look is French country and is an ideal background for our favorite foods. Our Full-time Travel Lifestyle philosophy is that every meal should be a special event. There’s nothing better than dining in Beauty
We don’t know how Q-Squared managed to make these gorgeous unbreakable and unscratchable portable service dishes, but we’re thrilled to have this designer dinnerware onboard.
Before Q-Squared, we were using Corelle, but had too much breakage. It’s no fun when a dish drops and splinters all over the floor – especially when you’re hungry! Another problem we had with the Corelle was scratching. Our titanium eating utensils made it look used in no time. The very month we’d had enough of glass dishes onboard, we found Q-Squared which had just been released in home stores.
Q-Squared comes in several beautiful classic designs which suit most tastes.
This dinnerware is not microwavable, but that is no problem for us. We use paper in the microwave, always have – so no big deal.
As of this writing, we’ve been using Q-squared for two years and absolutely love it. The Q-squared looks exactly the same as it did the day we bought it – no breaking, marring, chipping or discoloration … and no scratching even with our forks and knives.
We have the complete set of dinner plates, salad plates, dip bowls, large serving bowls, long serving platter, large serving platter, and these cereal bowls.
